Case Study - Plexus

14 WEEK online WORKPLACE PROGRAMME

THE SOLUTION

The importance of Nitrogen Generation has grown over time. Through the Powering Futures Workplace Challenge, Plexus tasked apprentices with exploring future options for the company. Using an online version of our programme, participants balanced independent research and delegation, enhancing efficiency and productivity during weekly team sessions.

The team's proposal showcased a combined approach, demonstrating deep knowledge and inventive problem-solving. They suggested short-term equipment modifications to save costs and energy, aiming to achieve a return on investment before replacing existing air compressors.

THE PROBLEM

Plexus hoped to bring together young apprentices from a variety of departments to work collectively on a real-life sustainability problem.

The organisation chose to use our Workplace Challenge as an introductory programme to build the apprentices’ confidence and understanding of the company as a whole.

Throughout this programme, there was a focus on engaging with other departments and understanding the importance of collaboration in the workplace.

I was really impressed by their final presentations, especially the data they found and the detail they went into. It was an eye opener that they got to that level so quickly.

David Turnbull, Challenge Setter
