School Enrolment

Congratulations!

Your school is now officially enrolled to deliver the Powering Futures Challenge SCQF L6 in Academic session 25/26.

We're excited to have you on board and can't wait for you to get started.

Please read below for important next steps, and if you have any questions, we're here to help.

Teacher Training

You can now sign up for our teacher training events.

All enrolled schools must register teachers for these annual training events, even if they have already sent staff to the training in previous years. Our programmes are subject to regular reviews and iterations, and it is imperative that delivery centres keep abreast of these updates.

Enrolled schools are asked to send a minimum of 2 members of staff to a training session. This ensures there are multiple staff per centre to support with assessment moderation and delivery where necessary.

Student Recruitment

Core to the success of the programme is effective recruitment of students.

We have put together a suite of recourses that you can use to help successfully promote the programme, with strong messaging and effective strategies.

Contact

If you have any questions or anything you would like to discuss with us, please do not hesitate to get in touch with our Education Team education@poweringfutures.com

  • As we are not an SQA award, students are not enrolled through SEEMIS. Students are enrolled directly with Powering Futures, and we will ask you for your student enrolment information in September 2025.

  • You will gain access to the Platform in May, where you can initially view the ‘June’ content. Assessed content (August onwards) is updated annually and will be available at the start of August. If your local authority has firewalls blocking the Platform, it is your responsibility to report this to your IT support. Powering Futures is happy to assist by liaising with relevant contacts to help resolve the issue once you have raised this with your IT support.

  • There is no maximum, some schools enrol entire year groups! Some schools are able to run a class of 4 pupils depending on their size, though we know this is not possible for many from a resource point of view. As long as you have enough for 1 team to form. A team is made up of 4-6 individuals. This makes for the best learning experience.

  • The Powering Futures Challenge must be delivered by a fully qualified teacher. As there is no subject specialist knowledge required, the staff member can be from any subject area background. Find the person in your school who is passionate about delivering student led learning experiences and the development of meta-skills!
