Equipping Scotland’s Youth with Skills for a Net-Zero Future
Powering Futures, a trailblazing sustainability education provider, is set to expand its impact across Scotland thanks to a transformative partnership with innovative EV chargepoint operator Urban Fox, backed by the leading international infrastructure group Balfour Beatty. The collaboration is set to empower young people with the knowledge and skills required for the jobs of the future.
Founded to strengthen the connection between education and industry, Powering Futures connects senior phase secondary school pupils with businesses to solve real-world sustainability challenges. The pupils engage in hands-on projects that develop critical thinking, innovation, and teamwork skills, all while addressing pressing issues like sustainable transport and energy efficiency. Participants also earn a SCQF Level 6 qualification, boosting their employability and readiness for future careers in green industries.
Thanks to this partnership from Urban Fox, Powering Futures will be able to reach thousands more pupils across Scotland. The programme’s innovative approach combines education with practical industry experience, ensuring students are equipped to lead Scotland’s transition to net zero.
Jennifer Tempany, Co-Founder of Powering Futures said:
